Movement Meditation
Making Freestyle Dance a Daily Ritual
An early product idea for minimal movement prompts that help people unlock rhythm without performance pressure.
What if dance could become a daily ritual of joy and liberation?
Dance naturally releases dopamine, yet we rarely tap into its full potential for healing.
I imagine an app that encourages freestyle movement. It would guide people with minimal prompts, help them find their natural rhythm, and reward them simply for showing up and moving.
The idea came during a trip to Kazakhstan for Tribal KZ, where I attended a workshop by Illan Rivière. With a few minimal yet intentional cues, Illan created a space where movement became meditative — almost hypnotic.
That experience showed me how dance, when approached without structure or performance pressure, can be profoundly liberating.
