TFBD Map
A Digital Home for a Scattered Dance Community
A product idea for discovering global festivals, teachers, classes, and collaborators in Tribal Fusion Belly Dance.

As a Tribal Fusion Belly Dance enthusiast, I want to attend global festivals and stay informed about events happening around the world.
The TFBD community is underserved and scattered, with no single platform offering comprehensive information.
Staying current means following multiple Instagram pages and relying heavily on friends’ recommendations. There is no one-stop solution for discovering everything in one place.
TFBD Map is an app concept that collects event data in real time and presents it through a clean dashboard. It begins with:
- Event or festival name.
- Location.
- Dates.
- Registration links.
- Details about special guests.
TFBD Map event dashboard concept
Eventually, I imagine it becoming a home for the global TFBD community: a place where dancers can find teachers, book classes, and collaborate.
Artists might post requests such as:
- “Looking for two dancers with intermediate belly-dance experience for an Instagram reel.”
- “Need a partner for a Bollywood duet.”
- “Seeking help with choreography.”
The goal is a platform that connects the TFBD community worldwide.
Why make it?
- Scattered information: Dancers currently track individual Instagram and Facebook pages.
- No filters: There is no global calendar filtered by country, event type, or date.
- No community hub: The TFBD world lacks a central digital ecosystem built around its needs.
Plan
- Phase 1: Launch a real-time event dashboard with a web-scraping backend.
- Phase 2: Add scheduling for teachers and artists.
- Phase 3: Enable collaboration posts and community features.
